Support Coorination
Support Coordination is a ‘Capacity building’ NDIS funded support. It is there to help with the implementation of all NDIS supports within a participant's plan, and helps participants with connections to (formal) mainstream and (informal) community supports.

Support Coordination is located under the Capacity Building Category with the NDIS price guide. Depending on NDIS participant's individual goals, plan objectives and aspirations a person may receive Support Coordination funding in their plan.

What your Coordination might look like in your plan.
Types of Coordination
Support coordination is usually stated support, which that means down the bottom of your plan in capacity bulling it will state Support Coordination then the type of coordination and hours you are funded for for the duration of that plan. Everyone's needs are funding are different if you need more support you can always ask.

Level 1: Support (Connection)
Support Connection is the entry-level Support Coordination service. This level of support is designed to help individuals with disabilities connect with the services and resources they need to live independently.
Support Connection typically involves assistance with navigating the service system, identifying appropriate services, and connecting with service providers. It is also designed to help individuals understand their rights and responsibilities and to help them understand the service system as a whole.
Level 2: Support Coordination
Level 2 Support Coordination is a more comprehensive service that provides individuals with disabilities with a higher level of support.
This level of support is typically provided to individuals who require additional assistance to access and coordinate the services they need to live independently. Support Coordinators at this level work with individuals to develop a support plan, connect them with appropriate services, and provide ongoing support.

Level 3: Specialist Support Coordination

Specialist Support Coordination is the highest level of Support Coordination. This level of support is designed for individuals with disabilities who require specialised assistance and support to access and coordinate services. Specialist Support Coordinators have specialised training and expertise in a particular area of need, such as mental health, housing, or complex support needs. They work with individuals to develop a comprehensive support plan and connect them with the services and resources they need to live independently.

In conclusion, the three levels of Support Coordination are designed to provide individuals with disabilities with the support they need to live fulfilling lives. Whether you require assistance with connecting to services, developing a support plan, or accessing specialised services, there is a Support Coordination level that can meet your needs.
