FUN WITH DICE!

"Whatever doesn't kill you, gives you experience points!"

TABLETOP THERAPY THAT LEVELS YOU UP!

Welcome Adventurer!

Fun With Dice is a tabletop gaming experience like no other – built around inclusion, creativity, and capacity building. We use the magic of games – from Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing games to classic board games, card games, and even miniature painting and crafts – to support mental health, foster social connection, and help you level up real-life skills while having a blast.

Time to shuffle your deck, roll your initiative and plot your course to success

Ages: 8+ | Session Duration: 2.5 Hours | Multiple Weekly Time Slots Available

Choose Your Path, Shape the Adventure!

At Fun with Dice, the journey is shaped by you. Each term, our adventurers (that's you!) help decide what games we play and which stories we explore. Whether it’s choosing between a thrilling dungeon crawl, a mystery-filled social game, or a quirky new card game, your voice helps guide our sessions. We also proudly support emerging game creators by backing exciting new titles on Kickstarter and Gamefound. This means you’ll not only get to try fresh, cutting-edge games in our sessions – you’ll be helping the board game community grow and thrive for years to come - pretty cool right?!

Fun with Dice is open to NDIS participants (ages 8 and up) looking to build social skills, make friends, and gain confidence in a supportive group setting. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or have never rolled a die before, all adventurers and players are welcome. We tailor the experience to all ability levels – the focus is on participation, not perfection. Families and support workers are partners in our journey too, and we ensure everyone feels safe and included.

Experienced DMs who understand accessibility & player preferences

Support for communication styles, sensory needs & technology use

Epic campaigns with dragons, puzzles, and laughter!

Before we begin, we actually conduct a brief intake chat with each participant (and their family or support person as needed)

Cost and NDIS Funding

The program is NDIS-funded under Capacity Building – Social and Community Participation. If you’re an NDIS participant (self or plan-managed), the fees can be claimed from your plan. We charge the NDIS group rate for a 3-hour session (currently about $22.52/hour per participant at a 1:3 ratio, which comes to ~$67.56 per session) – note: we charge Sunday sessions at the Saturday rate to keep it affordable, which is below the usual Sunday NDIS price limitfile--. In addition, there is a small venue fee (NDIS Centre Capital Cost) of $7.59 per session (covers the Dice Club space). There’s also a one-time program setup fee (2 hours of support for planning, ~$135 total) at the start, and an optional end-of-program report (if you’d like a summary of your progress, ~2 hours, ~$135). Important: We will discuss all costs with you beforehand – everything is transparent, and we do not charge above NDIS price limits. If you’re new to NDIS or unsure about funding, we can guide you through it. (If you do not have NDIS funding but are interested in joining, please contact us to discuss other options – we strive not to turn anyone away, and can explore self-funded participation.)

Before we begin

We want every game to be epic and safe. When you book, we’ll ask:

Any communication or sensory preferences?

Need assistive tech or a quiet space?

What themes or content should we avoid?

Got your own dice?

Who will your character be?
